Artist's Description

When I was growing up in Oklahoma in the 1950s, I wanted to be a cowboy. The idea of being outside on a horse from sunrise to sunset and then sleeping under the stars played in my mind constantly. I never got to see that dream come true. However, I can still go out with my cameras and capture images of those that live that life.This small cattle roundup was photography near the southern portion of the Empire Ranch, near Sonoita, Arizona.
