The fine art piece "Picasso's Checkers" by artist Robert C. Harris received a 2nd Place award at the San Padro River Arts Council 2023 "Celebrate the Arts" show in Benson. This the third award for this fascinating work which depicts an irregular checkerboard and game pieces that appear to float above a flat surface. Picasso's Checkers previously two 1st Place awards at exhibitions in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Willcox Art League has selected Robert C. Harris, Glenn Weeks, Clement Scott and Lou Anne Nelson as the judges for its upcoming art show. This the 38th Annual Ann Boyd Wade Fine Art & Photography Show. It will be held at the Willcox Community Center, 312 W. Stewart, Willcox. AZ from April 26 through April 30, 2022.

When asked about his art Mr. Harris said "My focus is to capture beautiful scenes that go unnoticed by people as they drive by them everyday. Fine Art Photographer Robert Harris of Lion's Gate Photography has received back-to-back 2nd Place (Advance Pro) awards at the Tombstone Association of the Arts Annual Open Show for Arts and the San Pedro River Arts Council Annual Photography Competition.
