Winters in the high desert of southern Arizona are usually very moderate. That said we do, on occasion, will get a significant winter storm. That was the case a few days ago when an atmospheric river soaked and flooded parts of California and dumped between 4 and 16 inches of snow across the southern portion of the state. This peaceful scene was photographed on North Elgin Road near Sonoita, Arizona.
