Moonrise during the Blue Hour over the Very Large Array in New Mexico. This is Number 1 in the series. This moonrise over the San Mateo Mountains provides the perfect backdrop for this 25-meter antenna. It is just one of the 28 antennae that comprise the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array National Radio Astronomy Observatory. The NRAO is located between Magdalena and Datil, New Mexico on the Plains of San Agustin.
